Album of the Year/The 2018 NFL season prediction update

I looked back at all the albums I reviewed in 2018 (there were more than 30 of them) and picked out the best of them. The best albums that I enjoyed in 2018 included: "Days That Got Away" by MGMT, "Pray for the Wicked" by Panic! At the Disco, "Scorpion" by Drake, "Thank You For Today" by Death Cab for Cutie, "Flow State" by Tash Sultana, "A Star Is Born" soundtrack feat. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and "Anthem of the Peaceful Army," by Greta Van Fleet. I have to say that based on my initial reaction, and now looking back on them the top Album of the Year (of which I reviewed) has to be: "Thank You For Today" by Death Cab for Cutie. It was a return to their finest works, and I thought it was magnificent.

However, not all of my reviews were positive. A good many of them were in fact quite negative, and there were in particular two pretty harsh reviews: "Boarding House Reach" by Jack White and "Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino" by the Arctic Monkeys. I would have to say that the latter was in fact the worst album of the year with BHR being saved only by the awesome single "Over and Over and Over."

Whew. As a Vikings fan, I'm honestly glad that the 2018 season is over. I projected a 12-4 season and a Super Bowl Preview for the Vikings here. HAHAHAHA. I was again hideously wrong as usual. Both of my projected Super Bowl teams did not make the playoffs. On the bright side, I did correctly pick 7-of-12 playoff teams, and even had three in the correct seed (NE, LAR and Hou). Better luck next year.

I have a number of photos share from events during the week of Dec. 20-21. Album reviews will return next week.
