Vampire Weekend is one of the most instantly recognizable bands in the past 20 years. Their brand of country club indie rock is extremely catchy. The authentic guitar sound is second to only The Strokes as a signature sound for the new millennium. The band recently released an EP "This Life/Unbearably White," and it is fantastic. There isn't a bad track on what is presumably a taste of what will come on the bands upcoming full-length album "Father of the Bride." If songs like "2021," "Sunflower," and "Harmony Hall" and this EP are any indication, that album is going to be great.
Fantasy baseball has gone quite well, as an 8-1-1 opening matchup has put me in second place right now. After the first three days of my second matchup, I'm up 8-1. Needless to say, I'm doing unexpectedly well.
Here are some photos from the only event that wasn't cancelled or postponed, the Prairie Conference indoor at St. John's, March 29. Enjoy.
