Capable of Anything

Ben Folds is a brilliant song writer and musician, and he certainly provides that in spades in his latest album "So There," which came out last Friday. I am a big fan of all of classical instrumentation found throughout the album, along with the silliness (check out F-10-D-A). He also tackles serious subjects, and brings along three beautiful Concertos. It is truly a magnificent album.

Fantasy football started this week! I played in four leagues, going 2-2. In my most important league I lost by eight :(, however, I am very happy with my fourth and fifth round draft picks (DeAndre Hopkins, Carlos Hyde). Dez Bryant, my first round pick, is out for eight weeks though. I won $35 in the draftkings.com big $10 million contest. I was somewhere around 34,000 out of more than 500,000 entries. Pretty happy about that.

Anywho, here are some photos. I apologize for graininess and quality on a few. I had the wrong angle for soccer, and the ISO up too high for volleyball.

Flyers junior Terra Motschke (No. 27) celebrates with sophomore Sydney Berg (middle) and Rachel Boros (No. 26).

Sarah Gold smiles along with the rest of the Flyers student section on "camo" night, at the volleyball game against Osakis.

Berg (left) and Motschke (right) try to block a shot by Osakis' Kayla Sorenson, Sept. 3.

Little Falls senior Laura Fregin hits a host past the Silver Streaks' Brittney Sadlemeyer.

Autumn Zupko digs out an Osakis shot.

Zupko receives a serve.

Sophomore Sam Beam smacks a left-footed kick at the Big Lake net, Sept. 3.

Little Falls senior Austin Visker follows through after a kick.

Sophomore Mitchell Holtz about to cross the ball ahead of Big Lake's Seth Ruotsalainen and Alec Doran.

Pierz senior Michael Meyer tries to haul in a deep pass over Melrose's Hunter Rademacher, Sept. 4.

Senior defensive back Nick Herold defends a pass against Melrose receiver Drake Meyer.

Pioneers senior Noah Boser dekes out a diving Meyer.

Herold gets past falling Melrose defender Tyler Moscho.

Earlier in the run Herold stiffarms Moscho.

Must have just gotten the background players with the autofocus, or this would have been a great shot of senior Ted Dehler (No. 73) attempting to block a Tyler Braegelmann pass.

Junior Lane Girtz waits for a pass from senior quarterback Aaron Weber.

Herold is tripped up on a first half run.

Herold turns the corner. He had 89 yards rushing in the 34-0 win.

Senior Jonny Kasper's only run of the night. He sprained his ankle later on the play.

Junior Lane Soltis makes a shoestring pick after Kyle Lange forced the ball from Parkers Prairie's Ryan Blake.

Lange hits Blake and pops the ball loose.

A pass falls out of the reach of senior Carter Loven and Panthers defender Joe Hewitt.

Royalton senior Olivia Gall cheers after the Royals got a point.

The Royals celebrate a Brooke Tschida (No. 10) block.

Another great celebration shot. This is junior Brandi Kloss, following a big kill in a five-set loss to Kimball, Sept. 8.

Senior Krista Kasella dives forward to make a dig.

Junior libero Jordyn Bzdok lunges for a hit.

Senior Emma Stelten serves early in the match.

Kloss with a big hit over the net.
