You Know The Night

Jackson Browne recently released his latest album "Standing in the Break," and I heard him perform on David Letterman last night. While he's not quite as good as he used to be, he can still write just as well. That is evident in the song "You Know The Night."

This past week I covered some Little Falls girls soccer on Sept. 25, USA/Royalton football Sept. 26, the Pierz volleyball Classic Sept. 27 and a match between Royalton and Swanville in volleyball Sept. 30.

Next week I'll have photos from homecoming football from Little Falls and Pierz. I'll also have photos from Holdingford/Royalton volleyball.

I split in fantasy this week, pushing a winning streak to three in my main league, and stopping what could have been a 5-0 start in the other. I'm 4-1 in both leagues and in first place in both. I have some injuries to deal with now in both leagues, so we'll see how well I can deal with that, and try to stay in first place.

In T.O's picks last week, I was a perfect 10-for-10. I'd like to say this was a major feat, but it was pretty easy, because, for the most part, they were all pretty predictable games. This week is a different story, so without further adieu (24-6 overall this year):
Little Falls over Mora: Mora lost 62-0 to Albany last week, and the Flyers stuck with the Huskies earlier this season, so I'll go with Little Falls in this one.
Zimmerman over Milaca: Sorry Wolves fans, I don't think they can pull off this one either.
USA over KMS: Should be another blowout for the Patriots, who will finish undefeated.
Royalton over Browerville: A tough test for the Royals, but I think they have enough to get past 5-1 Browerville and likely clinch a home playoff game.
Pierz over Rockford: Rockford is no slouch, but based on common opponents I think it could be a two touchdown victory for the Pioneers on the way to their quest to finish unbeaten.
Holdingford over Kimball: The Cubs are no match for the Huskers who will roll to a blowout victory.
Gustavus over St. John's: The Gusties are having a fantastic season this year, and are on track to win the MIAC. They'll have to beat the Johnnies first, but I think they will.
UMD over SCSU: The Bulldogs will stay undefeated as they take care of the Huskies.
Northwestern over Minnesota: The dream ends for the Gophers as they fall to the Wildcats. NU is coming off a big win over Wisconsin (who was ranked), they should win.
Vikings over Lions: Vikings should begin what will be the start of a win streak, assuming Bridgewater plays and stays healthy. The Vikings could rattle off several wins in a row, starting with a Megatron-less Lions squad.

Thanks as always for reading, and enjoy the 20 pictures I have this week:
